15″ Hereford Roping Saddle

This Hereford is truly a ‘barn special’. It has spent an embarrassingly long amount of time forgotten in a barn. Despite the years spent neglected, we are sure impressed with how this one shined up! Darn near everything possible has been done on this saddle, with all its refurb details listed below. This Hereford offers a true 15″ seat that offers nice padding with very adjustable fenders. Appears to be on Semi Bars that measures 6″ with a more “A” framed tree. Making it a great option for a strong withered horse. Think OTTB/TB type horse, and is a bit flatter through the bars. Is a true roper, build on a wrapped wood tree so is on the heavier side, but isn’t as heavy as many older ropers. Has a substantial post horn. Nice tooling on this one with attractive rawhide accents over the swells and cantle. If we are reading the serial number correctly, this one is a 1994 model. However, with all it’s fancy new parts, it’s ready to go! It has had the following repairs/replacements:

• New stirrups, near and off side Latigos, strings, and Blevin slides.
• New leather rosettes, screws, and replaceable hardware.
• Fully refleeced, stitching repaired/replaced where needed.

It does show some signs of it’s life living in a barn. Does have some minor scuffs/scrapes and small spots of discoloration to the leather. This one has nice leather and has softened up a ton with lots of oiling, however the fenders are still a bit stiff. They will continue to soften with more conditioning and use. It is darn near a brand new saddle!  At this price, you really can’t go wrong
