15” Masters All Around Barrel Saddle

Masters Saddles makes a heck of a saddle. The last handful of years, Masters has pretty much only built trophy saddles, so its getting hard to find these quality saddles that aren’t decked out in lettering. This great saddle is a true all event rodeo saddle. Build on a Buster Welch tree, rides like a cutting saddle with all your favorite features of a barrel saddle, and more than welcome in ranch horse classes. Measures and fits true to 15, having a more open seat with a deeper cantle at 4”. Very slightly raised twist, the seat bed is built to keep you on your pockets. Has an inlayed bicycle seat of real ostrich leather that is really sharp! Lightly roughed out leather over the jockeys and fenders, giving you just enough grip without being restrictive. This saddle was designed to fit an athletic, running bred type horse, on a Semi Bars tree, 6” gullet with plenty of wither clearance, wide flare, and a bit of rock to the bars. This would be a great option for a strong shouldered off-the-track type horse. More upright swells and 3” horn, much like a cutting saddle. Skirt has a light equitation profile to it for a closer contact feel, and quite short at 25”. Very adjustable fenders, going really long, and has a nice set of oak stirrups added. Has a really nice Hansen Western Gear (HWG) sterling overlay concho set added that are really sharp. This isn’t a light saddle, weighing in at 34lbs, but is designed to be a saddle that will hold up to just about anything you throw its way. Comes fully fitted. In very good used condition, clearly not seeing a ton of use, but has seen quite a bit of storage. The leather on the skirts has dried out considerably. We’ve oiled the snot out of it and the fenders and jockeys have softened up like crazy. The skirts need a bit more time and conditioner. This is a heck of saddle for an even better price.
