15″ Saddle King of Texas Western Saddle

If you’ve been looking for an affordable, attractive saddle-look no further! From Saddle King of Texas in a roper style that has a great look. Saddle King is more of an economy brand, and this one would be considered economy. While it looks like a roper, it is NOT a roping saddle. Built on a ralide tree, so lighter in weight. On what appears to be Semi Bars, with the gullet measuring 6″ with moderate flare, fitting flatter through the bars. Since this is on a ralide tree, this isn’t one that will hold up to actual roping. Offers a substantial, roping style post horn that measures 3.5″ tall and is leather wrapped. Moderate 3″ cantle, shorter 25″ skirt,. In dark brown leather, fully cooled, and comes with its rear rigging. We actually pulled this one fully apart to replace all its screws and reinforce the rigging, so we know this saddle is sound all the way through. Putting saddles back together is easier said than done sometimes. There is a small space between the front skirts and the tree that you can see from the front-as we didn’t reuse the spacer. Hardly noticeable, but worth noting. Clearly has seen far more storage than actual use. Again, Saddle King is more of an economy brand, and the leather does show that. It has dried from storage, but has already responded to just a bit of conditioner. This is a nice starter saddle, extra saddle, or decor saddle. At this price, you definitely can’t go wrong.
