15″ Simco Vintage Balance Ride All Around Saddle

Here is a saddle that was made when saddles were hand built and hand tooled. This is an older Simco, and given the style, is likely from the mid to late 1980s. This 15″ Simco is an all around style roper on a wood tree with narrower set, bear trap style swells, that is comfortable enough for daily riding or trail riding. On Semi QH Bars that measure 6″ with a wide flare, fitting low and wide with just a bit of rock through the bars. Surprisingly short skirt at just 24.5″, 3″ reinforced horn, and 3″ cantle. What makes this one unique is that it has Balance Rigging AND standard rigging, which appears to be original to the saddle. Balance Rigging in a tree point, in skirt rigging that allows for your rigging to lay flat and even. The rigging is in excellent condition, without any stretching. Has very adjustable fenders, easily going long enough for a leggy rider. It did previously have Balance Ride fenders, but has been modified to have standard fenders, but does have the same flatter feel and these do still have the free swinging feeling. Nice quality saddle with a classic and understate look, in darker oiled leather and basketweave tooling. While an older one, has been well cared for. Shows signs of use, but hasn’t been roped off of and is ready for far more ride time. This is not a light saddle, as its built on a bullhide wrapped wood tree, but is one that will last for decades more.
