15” Vintage Jim Dandy Equitation Saddle

$275.00

Here is another one of those ‘trusty rusty’ saddles, made when saddles were made right and tight. Jim Dandy is a name that is synonymous with Westerns and TV shows, but there was a saddle line made under the builder name Jim Dandy, too! This is an older 15″ Equitation style saddle, but is ready to be your casual trail partner. Given the style this one is from the late 1970’s or 1980’s, with the deep tooling and silver lacing around the cantle and pommel. This one measures 15″ to stitching, but with the higher twist, fitting a hair smaller. On QH bars with moderate, fitting low and a bit wider, measuring 6.75″.  In skirt rigging that is slightly set back, short skirt at just 25″. More substantial, equitation style horn that is a bit shorter and wider, measuring 3″. Moderate 2.5″ cantle, with a more shallow seat. Has very adjustable stirrups. This saddle has been completely gone through and is sound as the day is long. As typical of older saddles, it is a bit dry and will benefit from more conditioning. This sharp saddle is priced to sell!
