Here is another one of those ‘trusty rusty’ saddles, made when saddles were made right and tight. This is an older 15″ Simco Equitation, but is ready to be your casual trail partner. Given the style this one is from the late 1970’s or 1980’s, with the deep tooling and silver lacing around the cantle and pommel. This one measures 15″ to stitching, but with the higher twist, fitting a hair smaller. On Semi QH bars with moderate clearance and flare, in more of an “A” framed tree, measuring 6″. This is a great option for a narrower horse. In skirt rigging that is slightly set back, very short skirt at just 24″. Duck bill style horn that is a bit shorter and wider, measuring 2.5″ x 3″. Moderate 2.5″ cantle, very deep seat. Has very adjustable stirrups. This one had SaddleLac on it at some point, and we got most of it off, but there’s a few spots of discoloration. SaddleLac has a tendency to dry things out, so this one would benefit from some conditioning. However, this one is rock solid and only showing wear and scuffs appropriate with use and time. This sharp saddle is priced to sell!
