16.5″ Crest Ridge Sentry Lite Western Trail Saddle

If there was an extreme home makeover show for saddles instead of homes–this saddle would have been the star. Seriously, this saddle was ROUGH but it’s definitely proof that quality materials, especially trees, matter and last. When this saddle came in, the fenders had already been thrown in the dumpster and the skirts were holding on for dear life…and frankly looked like Swiss cheese with how many holes were in them. Looking at it now, you’d never guess! The Sentry Lite is Crest Ridge’s ultra light trail saddle. Originally, it had Codura skirts and fenders, however we’ve rebuild this saddle completely with all leather. But, don’t worry–it’s still lightweight! This one, per serial number, is a 17″ seat but with the padding, deep seat bed and high cantle, measures and fits true to 16.5″ On CR’s extra wide tree, measuring a generous 8″ with wide shoulder flare and a rock to the bars. This one will fit a chunky/wide horse who has some shape to their topline. **Please note that it may look weird how the gullet is measured, but the skirts flare out for shoulder room, so we are measuring from the tree point, not the skirts** Also has a great, shorter skirt at just 25″. This one offers standard western rigging. This saddle–after its extreme make over–is in outstanding condition. Here’s a list of everything that has been done on it:

• New skirts, tree housing, wool shearling (underside)
• New fenders and stirrup leathers
• Most leather rosettes are new, screws, hardware, rings new
• New latigos
• Stitching repaired or replaced, rigging reinforced

Seriously, just about everything is new on this saddle aside from the tree and seat–which are in great condition. All new leather matches perfectly. Does not come with stirrups. This darn near brand new saddle is ready to ride!
