16.5″ Dakota Equi-Fit All Around Western Saddle

Dakota Saddles are made so well, are built on Steele Saddle Trees, and are made to last…there’s a reason we like them so much! This Dakota Trail Saddle (#355F) is a nice, affordable older one. This saddle is a trail saddle, but is a true all around type saddle. Comfortable enough for the trails, but with a very deep seat and free swinging fenders like a barrel saddle. This one will surely be your ‘go to’ saddle. Stamped 16″, fitting and measuring larger (surprisingly), at a true 16.5″. On an Equi-Fit tree on Full QH bars, measuring 7″ with some nice flare, good wither clearance, and just a bit of rock through the bars. This would fit a thicker/rounder built horse very well. 3″ barrel style horn, very adjustable fenders that go long, and comes with an upgraded pair of engraved barrel stirrups. Comes fitted as well, with matching rear billets. The rear cinch isn’t original and is more economy, but matches well. This is an older saddle, and one that was its last rider’s ‘go to’ saddle, and shows that, but it’s been well cared for. Shows some scuffs and scrapes, minor discoloration, and some wear around the edge of the horn. On the front skirt, on the off side it shows some considerable rubbing from a saddle pack. However, the leather on this saddle is VERY soft. Yes, its not the prettiest saddle, but it’s proof that quality tack lasts and its signs of use make this really nice saddle even more affordable!
