16″ About The Horse Western Trail Saddle

Not only is this saddle beautiful and comfortable, its made by a great custom saddler from right here in Minnesota–About the Horse. Designed to truly be a truly comfortable trail saddle, but built to hold up to a bit of work, packing and more. This one is a 16″ seat, fitting true to that while still have a great, padding seat. 4″ cantle, shorty trail horn, and open seat makes this both secure without being constricting. This is the ABT’s Lite Trail, however, is still quite a hefty saddle. Built on ABT’s Anatotree tree, which is designed to be lighter weight than other trees offered by ABT, while still being a durable, relatable tree. Built on a #1 Bar, which is ATH’s equivalent to QH bars, offering lower rock, wider shoulder flare, and a more angular tree through the length to fit a typical QH type horse. Would be a great option for a flatter horse whose flatter through their topline but has a wide rib than spine. 27″ short skirt, angled rigging to free up your horse’s shoulder, and comes fully fitted. This one is made to be durable. It is reinforced in all the right places, heavier ounce leather, and has real wool shearling on the underside. In a pretty, mahogany colored leather, no tooling for easy cleaning, and is finished off with nice silver conchos. The condition of this saddle is incredibly, clearly seeing very little ride time and near perfect storage. Hardly a blemish on it, leather is very soft. This saddle is built to hold up forever, and often well made saddles don’t mean light. This one is hefty, weighing in at 40lbs. However, you can be sure it will last a few lifetimes with proper care.
