17” About The Horse All Around Ranch Saddle

This cool saddle is the perfect combo of a ranch/work saddle, trail saddle, and your favorite padded recliner. Seriously, this thing is made to work while being an incredibly comfortable ride. Made by incredible MN Saddler About the Horse, this saddle is built to last with a ton of extras. The seat on this one is really cool. Offering a 17″ seat, fitting like 16.5″ with a VERY high cantle at 5″, slightly raised twist, and is heavily padded with the comfiest memory foam. The seat is a bit more open, still feeling deep, and paired with the free swinging fenders-this one doesn’t feel confining but is still very secure. About The Horse designs their own trees. This one is built on ATH’s #2 tree-which is their equivalent to Arab Bars. Don’t let “Arab” scare you away. That means it has shorter bar length on the front, nice rock to the bars, and offers a wider tree through the whole length. This one is WIDE. Measures 8″, fitting like W/FQH bars with a ton of flare. This one will fit a horse nicely. Slightly set back rigging to open up the shoulder. The skirt is a great design-rounded and steep under the fender which offers a close contact feel. Not terribly long at 27″. 3″ post horn that will hold up to hard work, A-Fork wells that have a set of bucking rolls added for more security. On a bullhide wrapped wood tree. This saddle is a workhorse, weighing in at 48lbs with its rigging, this one will hold up to even the longest days of hard work. Lots of adjustment to the fenders, working well for a leggy rider. Comes fully rigged and has been finished off with a custom concho and strings. This saddle isn’t black-we swear! It is very, very dark chocolate brown. Ordered new and has seen less than a dozen rides. Sadly, life has changed for its rider who is devastated to part with it. This is a heck of an opportunity to get a saddle that will last generations without the weight or new/retail price.
