17″ Circle Y Draft Horse All Around Trail Saddle

This is such a nice saddle! Frankly, we aren’t convinced this saddle has ever been ridden in! This awesome saddle was special ordered in 2007 and is built on a true Draft Horse Tree. It is the perfect cross between a trail saddle and ranch saddle, built on a fiberglass wrapped wood tree with a reinforced tree, designed to hold up to some hard work while still offering ample comfort and padding. Per serial number, this saddle is a 17″, but with the VERY deep seat and high cantle, fits like a 16.5″. This draft tree is wide WIDE, perfect for those #landhippos out there. Gullet measures 7.5″, is wide through the full tree, with an almost Equi-Fit style tree that flares out a ton to open up the shoulder. Has moderate wither clearance and a bit of rock through the bars. Shorter bar on the front as well. Has a 3″ reinforced post horn, plenty of padding on the seat with a 5″ cantle and pencil roll. Very dark oiled leather with no tooling aside from the stamped border. Double rigging, plenty of strings/rings for your packs and has a crupper ring. Fenders have an insane amount of adjustment. The only reason we aren’t calling this saddle pristine/demo is it has what looks like a paw/scratch mark on the near side fender from what we are guessing is a naughty dog. The scratch marks are very minor. If you ride those big kids (drafts, draft crosses) and need a saddle to hold up to actual work, this is your saddle! If you’re looking for light weight, this one isn’t it as it weighs 38lbs. This saddle is a special order, so you won’t find one like this on the market, and definitely not in this condition!
