17” Corriente Western Show Saddle

Finally, we have an affordable show saddle in! If you told us this was an older Reinsman or similar brand, we’d believe you! It’s been some time since Corriente build/sold show saddles, which is a shame as this saddle is darn nice. And goodness, is it showy! Offers a 17″ seat, but with the deep seat pocket, deeper cantle, and nice padding on the seat it fits closer to 16.5″. On QH Bars that measure 6.25″ with moderate wither clearance, a TON of flare with a bit of rock. This will fit a thicker, athletic built horse well. This saddle is truly TALL rider friendly with the fenders going insanely long with easy. There’s plenty of room for holes to make the fenders go shorter as well. Full tooled in a classic oak leaf and acorn tooling pattern. Leather has darkened a bit to a rich chestnut color. Equitation cut skirt for a close contact feel, has a really nice silver package on the saddle, all appear to be silver plated, even has mock rear billets! If you’re looking for lightweight, this one isn’t it. It is build on a wood tree, weighing in at about 37lbs. The leather on this one is really nice, is quite soft and truly has stunning tooling. While an older saddle, this one has been very well cared for and has been stored very well. It does show a few small spots of darkening on the leather, but very minor. The silver does show age related tarnish, but overall in good condition. We just love the look of this saddle. It has a very modern look with the lower cantle, deep eq cut skirts, and of course the silver. Please note, the only place it is marked with a brand is on its stirrup hobbles, but we have confirmed this one is a Corriente. This would be a great, affordable option for 4H, local, or smaller breed shows.
