13″ Simco Youth Roping Saddle

Is this the prettiest saddle…no. Is this the coolest saddle around….also no. Think of this saddle like the big kneed old red ranch gelding that many of us have in the pasture. Not the prettiest thing, has ugly legs, but is trust worthy and as hard working as any you’ll find. This one is branded, but the brand on the latigo is really faint. However, given it’s look and construction, we feel more than comfortable calling this a Simco. Its an older one and clearly been the trusted ride for some time. Has a true 13″ seat, with fenders that go short enough for a youth/teen rider, but still have plenty of room to go long as well. Is a true roper with a fiberglass wrapped wood tree, on what appears to be Semi QH bars that measure 6″ with moderate shoulder flare and a bit of rock through the bars. This would be a good option for a more athletic built horse or pony. Has a reinforced post horn that is leather wrapped, this is one that can dally and drag without worrying about it. This is an older saddle, but has clearly been maintained. However, it has been in storage for the last few years so is a bit stiff, but has already softened a bit with some attention. We’ve inspected this one and it’s sound, just not all that pretty. Has some cosmetic blemishes in the form of some scuffs, but all minor. This is one you can trust your kiddo or teen rider in, all the while not spending a fortune.
