18.5″ Stubben Siegfried VSD English Saddle

Stubben’s are one of our favorite saddles. In fact, we started off with this exact saddle and still ride in one today! This Stubben Siegfried, which is one of Stubben’s most recognizable models, is pristine. It has seen far more storage than use, with the only use shown is a bit of leathers marks on the flaps. This saddle measures 18.5″, and fits true to that with a wider hunter style seat and very narrow twist. It has 15.5″ low/semi-forward flaps with a low profile knee block, not getting in the way of the rider’s leg. VSD flaps are Stubben’s design to offer an All Purpose saddle with forward flaps that are a bit longer for dressage riding and schooling. This saddle is sharp with the two toned tan and darker Havana color. It has a 30.5cm gullet, which is Stubben’s Medium Wide, however we feel it fits on the Medium side of MW due to the tree shape. Shorter, upswept panels that measure 19.5″. Is wool flocked, so can have some adjustments made to it. Flocking has been well maintained. Lower profile gussets for a great, close contact feel. Is AP billeted, billets are in excellent condition. This is an older saddle but has clearly been VERY well cared for. The leather on this saddle is butter soft. This awesome Stubben shows less than normal signs of use, showing a couple scuffs here and there, but again its in incredible condition given its age. If you love these classic saddles, you will LOVE this one.
