5” Gordon Hayes GH Silver Mounted Curb Bit

Made by renowned cattleman and silversmith, Gordon Hayes of GH Bits of Silver. Despite passing away in 2019, his work is highly sought after. Known to be great quality, the right amount of pretty, and hold up for a lifetime. This is an older one from him, made in iron with sterling silver details down the length of each shank. Is marked “GH” on the port. In a Klapper style/C shank with a bit of curve measuring 7.5”. Mouth is 5”, slightly thinner diameter, with a lower and slightly wider port. This is a show legal mouth and shank. Fixed mouth and shank. In excellent used condition. Bit is sound, no cracks or repairs, straight as the day it was made. Iron bits do rust and this one shows a decent coat of rust, but more superficial and no pitting. This would be one to clean up, would do so easily. Ready to ride, show, or add to your collection.
