14.5″ Circle Y Bob Marshall Treeless Barrel Saddle

Here is an incredibly affordable Bob Marshall Treeless Barrel Saddle made by Circle Y. This one is an older one, however you’d never know as it’s been very well cared for and perfectly stored. Per serial number, this one is a 15″, fitting and measuring like 14.5. Offers a very secure ride with the ultra grippy suede over the seat and jockeys. The nylon rigging is sound, showing very little wear. The leather wear bars on the nylon stirrup leathers show some wear, with a bit of rubbing along the side of the nylon, but are still very sound and are far from needing repaired or replacement. Too often, treeless saddles are not stored correctly and start creasing (folding) over the seat. This one has been stored perfectly and doesn’t even have a shadow of a crease. Treeless saddles do conform to a horse’s shape over time, and if used on the same or similar horses, they do form ‘muscle memory’. This one has been used on Appendix/TB type horses with a sharper wither so has formed into an “A” shape. While it can absolutely be used on another shaped horse, it will take some time to loose the memory of it’s past horses. Believe it or not, this saddle is a 1996 model. It’s proof that if you care for your tack, it will last! The leather is very soft on this saddle, showing far less use than you’d expect from a saddle of this age. Does how a few scuffs and marks, but so minor. This is such a nice, affordable treeless saddle. At this price, it won’t be here long!
