15.5″ Jim Sands Roping Saddle

$1,099.00

This saddle is darn, DARN nice! If this saddle has seen a dozen rides, we’d be shocked. Clearly very lightly used and surely not roped off of. From long time saddle maker Jim Sands of Laredo, TX-this one is built to work and work hard. While not a household name, Sands has built saddles for decades and is well respected. In fact, he has built saddles for makers such as Sante Fe and Billy Cook! This Roper is the perfect combination of a penning saddle and working rope saddle. Fitting true to its 15.5″ seat measurement, with a moderately deep and wide seat that has just the right amount of padding. On what appears to be Full QH bars, that measures 7″, with ample clearance, moderate flare and just a bit of rock through the bars. This one will fit a modern day work horse well. Free swinging fenders that have a ton of adjustability, 3″ cantle and 3″ x 2.5″ reinforced post horn. 28″ equitation skirt to offer a close contact feel. Comes with its rear billets and new nylon latigos. Half-breed style look with roughed out jockeys and fenders and stamped in a modern, geometric stamp. Seriously, this saddle is hardly used! This isn’t a light saddle, this one is made to work!
