15″ Vintage Bona Allen Equitation Saddle w/ Sterling Silver

Now, this is a saddle! Just wow! Despite this being an older saddle, it’s in incredible condition. Proving that quality built saddles really last. From famed saddler Bona Allen. In an all around Equitation/Reiner style, pretty enough for cow horse classes and comfortable enough for everyday riding. 15″ to stitching, however with the raised twist and nicely padded seat, fits just a teeny bit smaller. On what appears to be QH bars, measuring 6.75″ with nice flare, decent wither clearance and just a bit of rock through the bars. Real wool shearling underside. The tooling is what really sets this saddle aside, in a really cool spin on classic Sheridan tooling. Instead of the traditional floral, the flowers are instead a 6-point flower, carried through perfectly with the silver work. The silver conchos on the fender and skirt are sterling silver. Saddle conchos are a lovely set of Alpaca silver vintage conchos. 26.5″ skirt, 3″ cantle, 2.75″ x 3″ post horn. Stirrup leathers have been but, but not terribly short. The fenders still have a ton of adjustment. This saddle is really a vintage saddle, however, the care its had has been incredible. Butter soft leather. There is a bit of rust to the rigging plates, a teeny bit of curling to the skirts from storage, maybe a scuff or two, but again this saddle is in amazing condition, far better than saddles half its age. So well cared for and stored well. This one is ready to hit the show pen!
