This saddle is the real deal, proving that Cowboy Collection saddles are far from economy. Technically, Cowboy Collection saddles are Jeff Smith’s economy line of saddles, but you wouldn’t know! This saddle has worked for a living and is a sound as ever, showing that even though they are a bit more affordable, they are trusty worthy to hold up to plenty of work. This one is a 17″ seat, fitting closer to a 16.5″ with how the seat bed sits, with a deep seat that will keep you on your pockets and a slightly raised twist. This one is on Full QH bars, measuring 7″ with a TON of flare, moderate wither clearance, and good rock through the bars. This one will it an athletic horse nicely. Equitation style skirt that gives its rider a close contact feel, cut up high under the fender. Skirts measure 28″. Heavy duty, large stainless rigging rings, and comes rigged (but without stirrups). 3″ cantle, 3.5″ cutting horn that is rawhide/mule wrapped, 14″ swells. Fenders have an insane amount of adjustment, going far shorter than you’d expect. Not a light saddle by any means, weighing in at 38lbs. This saddle has been a favorite of its last rider, showing signs of wear. However, we’ve done a full face lift on this saddle, and it’s sound as ever. And yes, the leather is as soft as it looks! Does have a bit of curling to the rear skirts and some minor wear to the rigging cover on the off side, but cosmetic and minor. We’ve also added a couple new sets of strings and finished it off with a really sharp, custom concho. This saddle is ready to work!
