16″ Circle Y Flex2 Alabama Gaiter Trail Saddle

A saddle should not be this comfortable! If you told the saddle genies that you wanted your next saddle to be as comfy as a recliner, this is what they’d come up with! This awesome trail saddle is the Circle Y Alabama Gaiter Trail Saddle, built on CY’s popular Flex2 tree, which allows just a bit of flex to allow for flexibility of fit of your horse between seasons. This saddle was specifically designed for gaited horses–but don’t let that shy you away from it if you don’t ride a gaited horse. This saddle was designed to have shorter bars in the front, more rock through the tree, and set back and heavily dropped rigging to help avoid the shoulder. This will fit horses who need more shoulder space than most saddles can offer. Per serial number, this one is on CY’s Wide Tree with a 7″ gullet, offering ample wither clearance and nice flare. This one is 16″ per serial number, however, with the deep and heavily padded seat, this one fits and measures like 15.5″. The full grain leather seat and butter soft leather makes this saddle incredibly grippy. In our favorite dark oiled leather that has been really well cared for, all stainless hardware, and is finished off with a really pretty silver concho. Angled rear rigging which means this one can easily be center-fired rigged. Fenders have a ton of adjustment and have less material behind the fender, reducing strain on the rider’s lower leg. This saddle is a 2008 model, but you’d never guess as it has been incredibly well cared for. The leather is butter soft. When we say butter soft leather, we mean BUTTER soft leather. Shows minor signs of use and wear–does have a couple shallow kitty scratches on the off side jockey. Does not come with original stirrups but does have a nice pair of padded endurance stirrups. They do show missing paint, but are solid. This saddle is trail ready!
